Mike received his first boat for Christmas at age 9 and although it was only a 12 foot skiff with a 4hp outboard, he has been hooked on boating since. After receiving his Bachelors degree he pursued a career in “Corporate America” where he gained valuable knowledge in the areas of Client/Account Management and Employee Relations. All the while spending all his free time boating, aspiring and planning on turning his passion into a career. After several years of successful business ventures Mike was finally afforded the opportunity to become a Yacht Broker and attributes his success to his passion for boating and sincere concern and enjoyment for selling FUN. Rick comes to The Marine Group Group with numerous successful businesses, which enables him to continue to pursue his passion – his life long love for boats. He brings sales experience, with ethics and principals in conducting business. Rick grew up in Tennessee on the rivers and lakes and is an experienced boat owner. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War, a family man and has spent much of his spare time sailing and chartering various vessels in the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico. From Bimini to the Berry Islands and around to St. Martin, southeast through the West Indies, it is a dream that is possible. Jim has been a boater, fisherman, and diver most of his life. He comes to Marine Group with over thirty-five year’s sales and management experience in the diesel engine industry. He is certified on Cummins, Detroit Diesel, and Caterpillar engines. Both Jim and his wife Dot are avid offshore fishermen and have served as presidents and tournament directors of Gulf Coast billfish tournaments. Jim is a retired Marine reservist and Viet Nam veteran. He also is a volunteer pilot with the Civil Air Patrol and active in many fraternal and civic organizations. As a yacht salesman Jim enjoys helping his clients fulfill their boating dreams.

Larry has 33 years in the marine industry. He started in Mobile, AL, working in the commercial supply business. From there he has owned a fuel dock business, been dockmaster of a prominent marina in Orange Beach and managed all facets of vessel repair and maintenance in a local boat yard. Marine Group welcomed Larry to our Orange Beach office in 2001. Larry’s extensive knowledge and experience cover all segments of our boating industry and make him dedicated to finding the right boat for all of his clients.

The year 2018 marks the tenth anniversary of Cass joining the Marine Group. His understanding of boats and their Owner’s need comes from a family heritage of custom boat building, ownership, and restoration. He recently completed a refit of “Ranger” a diesel powered wooden sportfishing center console his father built when Cass was six years old. Cass also spent a number of years owning a 40′ shrimp boat that was converted from commercial use to a private yacht for coastal cruising along the Gulf of Mexico and as a mothership for inshore fishing expeditions. Cass earned a BS in Business Administration from Springhill College in Mobile, AL and strives to give his clients a professional experience before and well after the sale is completed. Bree Spears holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business & Management, Organizational Administration. She has a background as a civil service employee for the U.S.N. Remote Sensing Center and 15 years in the commercial and consumer lending industry. “Upholding the highest ethical standards, attention to details, and providing our yacht buyers and sellers with the best customer service that I can, is my #1 priority”.
